Well, I've just read this in a today post from Apple:

It is true that this solved my issue, but after read it... make it at your own risk then ;).

Anyway, I've been fighting with syncing problems for a long time, and almost all my problems have been solved with a good backup and a bit of patience XD

We are also experiencing vanishing doc items. specifically, mail. it has moved horizontally and dissappeared completely. we are not using any third party software.
