Ive tried all the listed tips, and after copying the sparsebundle to my AFP share, TimeMachine is still unable to see any volumes.

I've used

defaults write com.apple.systempreferences TMShowUnsupportedNetworkVolumes 1

but still nothing appears in the TimeMachine select volumes box.

*sigh*
