Create clickable references in Pages' PDFs

Hmmm, nice. As far as I know, when using OpenOffice.org (or NeoOffice for that matter) then one needs to use the built-in "export as PDF" to get such clickable references. Telling OpenOffice.org to "print" to PDF will loose such clickable things (which makes sense, but apparently Pages knows a way to tell the "printer" about links).

How does Pages handle references to web sites? Most PDF readers will render anything starting with www clickable, but what if you link some text to a URL? Kind of like some text -- is that clickable in PDF as well?

Yes and no. iWork (including Pages) only supports URL's using the http or mailto schemes, so no file:// or relative references are permitted.
However, any URL link will show up in the PDF as a hyperlink, regardless of the text it's associated with.
