I'm not in a position to verify this, but you should be able to share your FAT32 drive just like any other volume/directory attached to your machine.

Network file system protocols and servers (like nfs, afp, and smb/cifs) are completely agnostic towards the underlying file system layout.

Yes, I agree. All you have to do when starting your share is to select what kind of sharing you want to do, based on whatever operating system will be accessing the share, rather than what is being shared. That is, if a Windows machine will be accessing the shared drive, enable SMB sharing. If a Mac will be accessing the share, enable AFP. For the lowest common denominator, you might enable FTP as well.
