Command Line
Some may find this easier:
What I really want for Ical is
when an alarm goes off, say it was set to 1 hour before the meeting, it allows me to be reminded in 15 minutes or 30 minutes etc... like a cheap snooze alarm.
What I really want is for it to offer me the opportunity to have the alarm go off 5 minutes before the meeting. that is I want a snooze relative to the meeting time not relative to the current time when I see the alarm. The purpose of the alarm was to tell me to prepare for the meeting. I don't really care when exactly I notice the alarm. But I want a reminder a few minutes before the meeting to tell me to go to it.
What I really want for Ical is
you can add a second alarm (and more than that, too). In iCal, right click on the alarm section in the info pane of the event and add another alarm for 5 minutes before the event.

defaults write com.apple.iCal Default\ alarm\ sound -string 'Frog' as a Command Line entry. Didn't work for me after an iCal restart. Maybe a computer restart is needed? Or maybe the instructions are faulty? |
