Easily identify rental movies in the iTunes Store

I guess I see the same annoying problem but have the easiest solution of all.

Click power search, select "Movies" dialogue box, Click the check box that appears: "Search Movies that are available for rental." Leave all fields blank and click search.

Boom, All rentals are shown. You can then click on any columns to sort by rating, Name, Genre, etc.
