I think a lot of people are missing the point: wireless. Air indicates the direction portable computing is headed. It's not there yet, but it points the way. If all my media and data is safely stowed on an external harddrive or online, and I have access to any of it wirelessly, I don't need a lot of ports, docks and drives.

That said, I envision a lot of extra steps and some headaches to make it work for about 30% of what I do on a computer now, so I'll wait. My 9 month old MBP will do just fine.
