10.5: Move Time Machine backup to another drive

If you don't want the old USB/Firewire to be used by Time Machine any more, temporarily turn off Time Machine, plug it in and delete two hidden files at its root with the Terminal commands:

cd /Volumes/MyOldBackupDisk
sudo rm .com.apple.timemachine.supported
sudo rm .0* (that's a numeric zero, not an oh, part of a hexadecimal string)
