You then might try to correct it in case this is the issue I'm listing here.

Look at the Latest subtitle of the file, the end time is "hacked" (see bellow) to I guess last until the end of the movie.

"perian" does not like it like "titleLAB" or "sears" while "VLC" is fine with it.

Just remove this subtitle or correct it like this for instance
