It looks very apparent to me - there are (eg) 3 tabs, Sheet1, Sheet2, Sheet3, large as life at the bottom, regardless of whether you mouse over or not...

Perhaps the visualisation is version dependent? I was trying with Office 2004 Mac version of Excel.
