10.5: Create multi-page PDFs from images in Preview

You can also do it via the following, potentially safer, actions:

1. Select a file in Finder and Copy.

2. In Preview, File>New From Clipboard (CMD-N) creates a new document that is not in anyway linked to the original (so no fear of deleting that). If your original is a PDF than the new one has the same name, but is not the _same_ document, as you can verify by CMD-clicking the name in the title bar.

3. My results when using the above method with jpegs have been unpredictable: Preview creates an Untitled document which sometimes contains the original jpeg, at others generic Preview document icons in five sizes. You can save either one as a PDF and proceed to add more pages, as described in the original hint.
