Off-topic, but might be of use for the OP: With Safari 3, there's no longer a need to worry about closing it when you have lots of windows/tabs open. Upon restart, just choose "Reopen All Windows From Last Session" from the History menu.

This works great. And with SafariStand you can set it to automatically restore the last session on launch.
