I just looked at Mail and iTunes, and the full UPPERCASE names of the sections appear to be consistent across these applications. Personally, the appeal of UPPERCASE vs. Mixed Case legends is probably a personal preference ... my preference is consistency ... and I don't plan on hacking Mail or iTunes to match a hacked Finder.
