If you're using a Gecko-based browser, the shift symbol won't appear correctly in robg's table. The right code values are present, though.

As an aside, anyone can work around that bug by specifying Osaka as the font when marking up those symbols (and others; using Osaka will also fix the card suit characters) in HTML code. Thankfully, bug is fixed in version 1.9 of Gecko, coming in Firefox 3, Camino 2, SeaMonkey 2....

That was it. I was viewing it in Camino 1.5.2. The shift symbol in the original table looks good in Safari.
