10.4: Recover Drive Mode functionality on Palm devices

I have both a MacBook, a G4 iBook and a PPC iMac all with OS 10.4.10 installed. Drive Mode on my LifeDrive works fine on the iBook and iMac but does not work on the MacBook so apparently it is the Intel version of OS 10.4.10 that broke Drive Mode. This of course is neither here nor there if you need it for your Intel Mac BUT in my case I wanted to drag and drop some photos on to the LifeDrive and discovered that it was possible using my iMac and iBook.
