10.5: Modify the appearance of certain Mail stationery
This is a decent set of instructions_ However - the file path is slightly off_
The Library in the HD Folder is the start of the file path_ HD >> Library/ Application Support/ Apple/ Mail/ Stationary/ Apple/ Contents/ Resources/ Then I was trying to modify the band-aid "get well" file_ So for example to get to that I continued to: /Sentiments /Contents /Resources this lists out the different "templates" in this category_ - Thank You - Trophy - Get Well - Heart - Flower including an English.lproj Folder and a PList File_ then simply show Package Contents on which ever one you want and after you dig thru that there is a set of images and HTML and PList files_ Make Copies and modify as you see fit_ I simply wanted to get rid of the heart on the band-aid [a little photoshop on a copy of the image and done]_ With Mail.app still open I simply went to it and opened a new blank message chose the stationery "get well" and it was changed when it opened_ ----------------------------- I admit that you should know a little of how to navigate the deeper parts of the system and it's pretty much modifiable like anything else deep in the system_ Do it at your own risk_ I do wish Apple to add an option to make our own templates in a soon updated revision_ In the meantime - if you know what you're doing - make your own company stationery or whatever you want_ |
