Make Adobe CS apps run on case-sensitive volumes
Unless I'm mistaken, this no longer works with CS3 (nor does the disk image workaround). When I originally received my copy I had setup OSX to be the case-sensitive, journaled file system, and tried everything I could to get it to install. The installer repeatedly said no, and would not let me install to any other location.
Note that it has been a while, and I could have easily missed something because I was so frustrated at Adobe for not supporting a case-sensitive file system. If it weren't for my familiarity with Photoshop and need for Flash I would look for alternatives and never turn back.
Make Adobe CS apps run on case-sensitive volumes
Why use case-sensitive volumes? "file" and "File" are different so you can't even move both to a non-case-sensitive volume essentially eliminating compatibility with 99.9% of all other Macs and PCs.
Seems like someone complaining about his head hurting when he bangs it against the wall. --- ----- Two things in this world aren't overrated: Macintosh and Lemon Meringue Pie. |
