Description of Macintosh Test System
This the configuration of my Mac and the general settings in effect in each of the environments I tested |
| Hardware Configuration |
- PowerMac G4/733 with 512mb RAM (2 256mb DIMM)
- NVidia GeForce 3
- 60gb Apple hard drive with two partitions (OS 9 and OS X)
- Sony 400PS 19" multiscan running at 1600x1200xmillions in OS X and 1280x1024xmillions in OS 9.1

| System 9 Configurations |
- OS 9.1 or 9.21 factory install
- Full extension set loaded
|
| OS X final Configurations |
- Clean install on main hard drive (pre 10.1) or upgrade install (10.1)
- OS 9.1/9.2.1 standard extensions for Classic support
- OS X installed from retail box
- No active web or FTP processes
- Classic not running unless needed for the test
