This also works with minimized windows in Exposé. That means that if you have space jumping disabled, you can choose a window from a different space using application Exposé, which shows windows from every space in Snow Leopard, then click the window. The window will be selected but will jump back to the space that it was in. Then type Command-M, which will minimize the window in the other space. You can then do application Exposé again and command click on the window, which will now be small and on the bottom of the screen. It will open in the current space.

I'm not sure if the guy above me ^ is saying the same thing I'm about to say, but just in case anyone else finds my version easier to understand:

The windows will unminimize out of the dock into the CURRENT space — no matter where they were initially minimized from — when selected from Exposé. Since I have Hot Corners enabled I throw the mouse to a corner and pick the window out of the lineup at the bottom.

I find it's faster and typically better because this way, I get a larger preview to even FIND the right window, and hell, nothing's faster than a Hot Corner, guys ;-)

Whenever I command-click anything in the Dock, I get a Finder window open with the application I clicked selected. OSX 10.6.1. What am I missing??

I think the hint they're referring to here is command-clicking without the "minimize windows to application icon" preference selected in the pref pane (windows minimize to the right of the dock, as in 10.5). I'm not sure how to keep minimized icons in their current spaces using 10.6's new minimize to icon feature..
