Convert MagicISO UIF images in OS X Apps
If you have Windows-using friends who have sent you CDs burned in MagicISO's proprietary UIF format, there's now a way to handle them directly on the Mac. UIF2ISO (free and open source) will convert UIF images to Mac-usable ISO images. Just drag-and-drop the UIF image onto the UIF2ISO application icon, and it's converted into a usable ISO image.

[robg adds: I haven't tested this app. According to the program's home page, source is available via git. The program is based the open source command line tool uif2iso by Luigi Auriemma, available on his tools page.]

I did try it already, but it just gave me back an empty ISO image (0 KB size). The same .uif image was easily converted by MagicISO.

Not sure what happened to your file but I converted a 750 mb file from my windows box to my OSX laptop without issues.

On the author's web site it is reported that the software does not work with the new UIF version (2). Maybe this is why. But the software itself should warn about this (as per release notes), which does not.
