How is this different from holding Home and pressing the power button? Are the two screenshots styles any different?

(No, I don't have an iPhone.)

The hint saves an individual image from a web page. Home + Power takes a screenshot of the entire screen.

This also works for images in Mail.

@VxJasonxV
When you "save", the iPhone saves the actual image, at the original DPI / size. Taking a screen shot creates a 72 DPI image, and also includes the top and bottom toolbars (in Mobile Safari).

@ VxJasonxV:

there's a difference between saving an image from your web browser and making a screenshot of your screen...

Ah! I must have done this by accident.

I couldn't figure out why iPhoto started opening whenever I plugged in my iPod touch...

Save in-page images, not images of Safari.

I'm a boob, and I apparently can't read very well. Apologies all around folks...
