One possible fix for low iPhone headset volume levels iPhone
Here's a solution to a big problem with the Apple headset for the iPhone: the sound level in my headset had become so low, I could hardly could hear a conversation in the car. After some experimentation, I found the solution: high pressure air to clean the earpiece -- evidently the plug was clotted. The same can of pressurized air I use to clean my camera was the solution for my iPhone headset as well. It is now loud and clear again.

OK, that's one from the Department of Useful-But-Barfworthy. No wonder it was posted anonymously.

Erm... now, granted I'm not one who is blessed with either an iPhone or its headset... so I don't know anything about the construction of the headset.... but I can't help but wonder....

...if you keep blowing the, uh, foreign carbon-based matter back into the headset, won't it eventually fill up with said carbon-based matter?

Though I must admit... this hint makes me glad we don't plug our phones into the nasal passages instead of the ears.... well, MOST of us don't (except for that one time.....)

ew.

My Gosh!
I'm so mad right now !!!!!!
I just checked my buddie's standard headset - what a difference !!!!

To think I was pondering if I'm going deaf, as I can not hear podcasts well, and music is not loud while on my scooter anymore.

Yeah I tried compressed air moments ago, doesn't seem to work (will try tomorrow again - folks r home now).

Thing is I was going to call for replacement (online form doesn't work). Though have some doubts, as of implications - they ask for my mobile number, and it's clear that my phone is not used as they intended it to.
