Or get an invitation to the my.1password.com service and it will always be online and as current as your last sync from 1password! (btw, that's how I logged onto here from work)

Has anyone gotten this hint to work successfully? I was able to get it to partially work. I get the login screen, followed by broken code. I did a direct cut and paste, so I don't think it's me.

Safari on Windows can't handle the bookmarklet -- at least, not for me.

It will, however, open the html export from 1Password, so if you want to carry that on a thumb drive or email it to yourself, that will work -- you just won't have the sidebar convenience of the bookmarklet in Firefox.

Has anyone looked into just how secure this feature is? I don't know about you, but I have way too much sensitive info in 1Password to feel comfortable about this until I'm darn sure that it's really secure!

FYI, Safari is truncating address field selections to 32,000 characters – too short for some 1Password bookmarklets. I added a workaround to the original blog post (it essentially entails moving the bookmarklet to Firefox (Mac) before copying the address field).

Another option is to export data as an encrypted HTML page:
File > Export All > Web Page

Umm. How does one get 1Password onto either Safari or Firefox on a Windows Machine?

These instructions don't work, there is no toolbar:

In 1Password, click on the Sync to iPhone icon in the toolbar and choose an access code for encryption. (This will create the bookmarklet in Safari.)

Switch to your Safari bookmarks, where you will find a new item called 1Password. Right-click on it and select Edit Address from the contextual menu. This is the data you need to get to Firefox; copy it into an email or text file.

This is one way that I've found to work for me.

1. Get Dropbox (www.getdropbox.com) installed on the Mac(s) and Windows machine(s) that will sync folders from your Mac and Windows.
2. Configure your 1Password to save the keychain file in the DropBox folder
3. In the DropBox folder, 1Password will save all passwords to 1Password.agilekeychain folder
4. In that folder, you will find a file called 1Password.html
5. By opening this html file from Safari for Windows (Firefox will messup the formatting), you'll get access to all of your password.
