10.5: Show all Exposé window titles at once System 10.5
In Leopard, after activating Exposé in All Windows mode with the keyboard or mouse button, you can view all the window title overlays by holding down the Option key, instead of seeing them one at a time on mouseover.

[robg adds: Simple, undocumented to the best of my searching abilities, and very very useful!]

This only works for me in 'Application Windows' mode on my G5, but does work as described on my Intel iMac. In fact, using the option key during 'All Windows' turns OFF all titles for windows I hover over on the G5. Weird. :-)

A reboot fixed this on my G5. Extra weird. :-)

It seems to work intermittently for me when I have a large number of windows showing. 2 or 4 is OK, but 24 is too many.

On a MacBook Pro, F-10 and option key shows all titles; F-9 and option key works if the glove pointer is NOT over one of the windows. If it is over a window, pressing the option key does nothing or removes the title that appeared when the pointer was over the window.

Include the fn key…

Try pressing the function ("fn") key along with the option key. That should take care of the issue.

Not sure why it's credited to "Anonymous".

Anyway, regardless, glad it's useful for people :-)

You must not have been logged in when you submitted it -- I don't even look at the Author field (nor is it editable) when posting a hint. Regardless, it's now been fixed.

Hi sabi - just email Rob and he'll fix the "anonymous" problem I'm sure. :)

Thanks for a cool hint, by the way.

Hmm, it doesn't seem to work if you first go into Spaces then activate All windows...
