Good hint! This makes the awesome Folder Quick Look plugin even more useful.

Yep - I found this the other day too - is Awesome_ But cell-gfx is right on one count [haven't tried yet - have to remove the plugins] but with the Plugins - you can see what is inside of a Folder_

You can use the mouse/pointer to scroll the contents [if numerous]_

But if you use the arrow keys it actually changes from one content item to the next - outside of the folder you are viewing_ It does not allow you to dig thru the heirarchy of the current Folder_

But I guess this would then defeat the purpose of the Finder in the long run_

Wow! Not sure why this works as it does, but this is a great simple hint! It turns the Finder into a simple image viewer when in a folder full of images.
I never understood why you couldn't use the arrow keys to move between files in fullscreen quicklook mode to begin with.

Maybe it's a bug that it doesn't work that way by default. On the other hand, I hope to heck it isn't a bug that this hint makes it work and Apple decides to "fix" it.

If you select all the items first, such as all pictures in a folder, you can move between items in QuickLook fullscreen mode. But you have to use the left/right.

This is a useful hint. I wish it were the default behavior as it is when not in fullscreen view, so I am guessing the current behavior is a bug.

This would be a nice hint if it did not make the finder crash - This happens on 3 of my macs...

So I belive this hint is obsolete.

If the hint was posted and other people are using it successfully too, then you may want to investigate your Leopard install. Have you checked the console log file when Finder crashes to see what may be causing it? Did you do a clean install or an upgrade?

It seems that if you press apple-arrow, you can move up or down between folders as well! Again, with the folder-plugin this becomes really useful.

BUT it seems to be difficult to navigate between folders inside of the folder-plugin. Maybe this could be added? If other people confirm this sub-hint, maybe we could email the developer to see if he/she is willing to address this.

This hint seems to be broken in 10.5.6.

What a shame. I used this on daily bases.

Is there a good workaround?

There is a way but why it works this way is a mystery.

In 10.5.6 when in full screen mode in Quick Look, hit Command-Tab and navigate to Safari. You need to be able to see a bit of the Finder window.

Click on the Finder window to take you back to Quick Look.

Then you can use the up/down arrows again.

It doesn't seem to work if you switch to any other application first.

The other standard (and foolproof, if there is such a thing?) way to move between files in full screen Quick Look is to select all the files you want to view and then go to full screen.

This is the Slideshow mode but you can move through the files easily using the left/right arrows in this case, and scroll within a file using the up/down arrows.

Sorry to revive such an old thread, but if you select all the contents of the folder before activating quicklook, it works this way by default. Not sure how well that works with folder-viewer...
