10.5: Use another shortcut to cycle through Terminal tabs Apps
The Terminal's Window menu bar lists Command-} (Select Next Tab) and Command-{ (Select Previous Tab) as keyboard shortcuts for cycling through Terminal tabs.

However, if you're used to Command-Left and -Right Arrows to cycle through Terminal windows, you can also use Command-Shift-Left or -Right Arrows to cycle through Terminal tabs.

[robg adds: And if you really don't like these shortcuts, you can redefine them in the Keyboard & Mouse System Preferences panel. Note that Command-Left and -Right Arrows still cycle between Terminal windows, though I don't actually see those listed in a menu. While testing this hint, I also found the Command-[ and Command-] will flip between Terminal windows, which also seems to be undocumented.]

Yeah,

That one annoyed me a lot, since command-{ is hard to hit on certain foreign keyboard like french-canadian. Now it work just fine in my 2 keyboard layout.

is there some way to get to a specific tab using Command + N (e.g. if you want to get to tab 3 you would use Command + 3) ? Thanks in advance.

Is there a way to make Command+[1-9] switch tabs, instead of terminals? I rarely use multiple windows, and when I do, I just use Witch to switch between them - so it makes more sense to have command+[1-9] assigned to the more common action.
