10.4: Watch high-definition trailers in Front Row Apps
To enable high-definition trailers in Front Row, type the following command in Terminal:
defaults write com.apple.frontrow TrailerBypass \
http://www.apple.com/trailers/home/xml/current_720p.xml \
&& killall "Front Row"
To reset to default settings, type the following command:
defaults delete com.apple.frontrow TrailerBypass && killall "Front Row"
Obviously, this requires a broadband Internet access if you don't want to wait for several minutes before the high-definition trailers start playing. If you want even more control over the trailers in Front Row (French, German, Italian, Belgian, Québecois, Danish and Japanese trailers; sorting by release date or by title), you may want to try Front Row Trailers, which is basically a GUI to this hint.

[robg adds: I tried this on my MacBook Pro, but to be honest, I'm not sure I noticed any difference. If someone can try this, and find a trailer where there's a visible difference, post in the comments. I tried a few trailers from Apple's HD Only Movie Trailers page, but they all seemed to look the same to me, regardless of the above setting.]

Also looked pretty much the same to me.

For this command to work, you need to have started Front Row since your computer has last been restarted. If you don't have a remote just press cmd + esc to invoke Front Row.

There's a good application, a freeware pref pane, to modify front row trailers source.
You can select HD trailers and also foreign languages trailers.

You're going to need a high res macbook pro 17 inch to really see the difference. Since its the only display in a laptop capable of displaying 1920x1080 HD content. Some of the lower displays can do 720p without a problem.

A noticeable difference between the two settings on a 23" Cinema Display. It also shows a smaller subset of movie trailers, since you're getting a different RSS feed (one that, I would expect, only contains 720p trailers).

I've installed the front row trailer and I have found that it is not pointing to the 1290 x 1080 version in the web ( actually it is only point to 720)

How can I uninstall the "front row trailer" from my Mac?
