10.5: Collect all open windows in one space in Spaces System 10.5
When you're viewing all of your Spaces (F8), you can press the C key to collect all the windows from all spaces into the first space. Press C again to send them back where they started.

If you collect windows and then exit out of Spaces (by pressing F8 again), you will not be able to uncollect them.

[robg adds: I couldn't find any reference to this feature in Spaces' help, and it's quite useful if you've been tossing your windows into various spaces throughout the day, to the point where you sort of lose track of where you've sent them ... not that that's ever happened to me.]

i haven't been able to find the answer to this anywhere:

can i save my 'spaces'?

if so, one or multiple 'sets'?

or do i have to generated new 'spaces' each restart? i can't imagine this last scenario, but a leopard beta tester hinted to me that was the case.

thanks,

/guy

never mind. found my answer in a dan frakes article on mac central. here's the quote: ... And perhaps the most significant limitation is that Spaces doesn't automatically remember open programs and windows when you log out; the closest you can get is to assign particular programs to always open in particular workspaces. ... very disappointing, to say the least. perhaps a 3rd-party will address this. /guy

I think there was a hint here about using AppleScripts to create multiple spaces "sets".
