It is possible to burn a Boot Camp driver CD even if Boot Camp won't run on your system.

I manually partitioned my drive into four partitions: Mac OS, Users, Windows (NTFS), and Scratch. You can install/run Windows on this partition scheme as long as Windows is either the second or third partition of your system. Unfortunately, Boot Camp refuses to run on a system with my partition setup: "The startup disk must be formatted as a single Mac OS Extended (Journaled) volume or already partitioned by Boot Camp Assistant for installing Windows." This keeps me from burning a driver CD, even though I have already successfully installed and run Windows.

Solution: Control-click on the Boot Camp Assistant program, choose Show Package Contents, and then navigate into Contents » Resources. Inside there you'll find DiskImage.dmg. Just burn that disk image, and you'll have your Windows drivers CD.

Alternatively, run Boot Camp Assistant, and choose Utility -> Save Mac Windows Drivers to Folder. Then just burn that folder to a CD.

Boot Camp Assistant will not even run on the partition scheme described by the hint so this wouldn't be an option.

You don't even need to burn them... just save all the files to a folder on a FAT32 volume (like a USB Keychain Drive) and the run the file 'setup.exe' on your PC once you've rebooted into Windows.

Of course, if you don't have a USB stick, you can also convert that DMG to an ISO.

Check www.versiontracker.com for the free application DamageIsolation. (the name!)

Once you have it as an .iso file, copy it to your Windows volume and mount it with another freeware or shareware isomounting application. I recommend VCDControlTool. Install as described.

My problem is that when i try to install the drivers, a message comes up at the end saying "1607:Unable to Install InstallShield Scripting Run Time". I've looked online but i have no idea what to do. help anyone? I really wanna play my games. email me at eattey@gmail.com with subject heading "boot camp" since i mite not be on here all the time. Thanks.
