Just thought i'd throw this out there, I use an app called Easywma (http://www.easywma.com/) - for ten bucks you get great conversion with batching capabilities.

This process will also work for any type of video file. Such as .avi

The best way for me is to get the Switch app - you can add a folder with your wma's and convert them to mp3s all at once. Then, just drag them to iTunes!

I would like to warn others:
Neither Switch nor any other app can do anything with a DRM .WMA file on a Mac. I understand that people need to protect their intellectual property. For that reason I legally purchased audio books. Also legally purchased the flip4mac WMV Player Pro. Only to discover that Mac users are locked out of using wma files that are rights protected (drm). This is also theft, no less reprehensible than piracy, because I paid for them. No refund because the small print says I should have established first whether I can play wma files on my "device". Yes, I can - but not if they are rights protected - because then they need to be converted first.
