Front Row users have been frustrated since the app was released by the lack of support for backed-up DVDs. Apple's own DVD Player supports VIDEO_TS files, but Front Row does not. Last week, a developer on the AVS Forums delivered DVD Assist, a small freeware application that rectifies this problem by allowing Front Row users to launch VIDEO_TS files from within Front Row.

There is a YouTube video of the move from an EyeTV HDTV broadcast to Front Row to DVD Player and then back to EyeTV. All navigated with the Apple Remote Control.
