Use any image in the Color Picker System
Rob's Color Picker blog entry at Macworld was interesting, but IMO, he missed out on the best Color Picker hint...

Go to Image Palettes (where the Spectrum usually appears; it's the next-to-last icon in the toolbar), and you can paste a new graphic in there, or choose an image file. Just use the Palette pop-up menu below the color area, and choose either New from File or (with something on the clipboard) New from Pasteboard.

The Color Picker remembers these images globally, so you can always have a reference picture from which to pick colours.

Now, that, is incredibly handy! What will they think of at Apple next eh? Maybe some kind of little box into which you can fit thousands of songs and listen to them?...

If it keeps the images cached globaly how would one remove an image in case he/she did not want it to appear to other users or someone else who sits at the public terminal?

if found the file that the system created a new file in ~/Library/Colors/ Removing the file from there seemed clear the picture out of the Color picker
